Things that make me go hngggg (And that I would waste/am wasting way too much money on).
10/10 would buy a Monza Spyder.
AMC Eagle SX/4, or hell, even an AMC Spirit hatch! I’d love one.
I briefly owned a Nissan NX1600 and would love a Nissan NX2000.
I yearn for the day that I can find a Nice Nissan/Datsun King Cab with sweet 80s graphics.
My dad had an ‘87 Pathfinder when i was growing up. If someone found me a 2-door V6 4x4 with a stick that wasn’t rotted, I’d be in.
I’m already blowing a down payment on a house to fix one of these crap cans, so don’t even get me started.
Things I could care less about:
Would instantly sell it if gifted one.
I’d prefer a 914, thanks.
This is not an IROC so I don’t care.
If by “GT” you mean Ford Probe GT Turbo, then yes, I’ll take one.
Yeah I’m weird, I know.

You’re among friends here.

I would happily exchange an overhyped Ferrari or a sad V6 powered “supercar” for dozens of ugly eighties things. I’m fascinated by them too.

The F40 is a crazy go kart. Just watch the old Jeremy Clarkson review and you just might fall in love. But yeah most supercars whateves. I would rok the AMC, needs big round rally lights etc... I would go nuts with one of those. I can tell you I don’t want to go into my records and see exactly how much money I’ve spent on the Z.... cars do that

ME too. Except that particular NX. Blarg, them “angel-eye” headlights.
Yusssss, now that’s a proper NX for ya.

WTF do you mean that’s not an IROC? That’s not even the same model as an IROC. You take that back and replace that picture with a proper Camaro.

Agreed, it was just the best picture I found within a 5 second search. I had an NX1600 with that sweet digital dash. I thought it was the coolest thing ever.

Same here. I loved that car and the 2000 is so much better even. Here’s mine.
The t-tops, the digital dash, that weird face. Such a cool car.

There was a hint of sarcasm there. It was more a generalization of GM muscle cars. I actually like the new Camaro. But I loathe the Corvette.

It’s such a good example of how you can take a relatively simple and cheap chassis (the Sentra in this case) and turn it into something fun. Even the NX1600, which wasn’t performance oriented like the NX2000, was a blast to own just because of the oddball factor about it. I know they never sold well, but to the person at Nissan that decided “Hey, lets stick a weird face on a Sentra, chop the roof off and stick some peppy little engines in it”, I hope they got a promotion, or at least retired early.

I entirely understand the allure of the F40, it’s just not for me. If someone offered me a Ferrari 512BB, well that’s a different story. That’s in my top 10 cars of all time list.

Seems normal to me.

A lot of those cars were pretty unloved back in the day, but really look cool now. I knew someone with an NX2000, and they absolutely loved it.
At one point, Chevy stuffed a 305/350 in the Monza (maybe the one in your pic), but I’m pretty sure that combination required the engine to come out to change spark plugs.

I’m somewhat with you there, but toss in some 70s barges as well, especially the unloved ones.
The supercars are cool when they’re driving on the street, or when you can get up close to them at a cars and coffee, but otherwise I could care less. Cars need to be driven.

Heh, it’s all good. I was just messing around.
Except for the fact that now you must be destroyed, for the Corvette is Holy.
But I love the Corvette, which is not a muscle car, and has been my favorite car for my whole life. Heathen.
